Joe Veltmann PhD is IIM’s CEO and CSO (Chief Scientific Officer). Dr. Joe Veltmann is a scientist (Nutritional Biochemist), counselor, educator, and Fortune 500 business consultant and trend strategist in the field of health, wellness, product development, alternative and integrative medicine. He is a fellow in the American Association of Integrative Medicine and a Diplomate in the College of Clinical Nutrition. Since 2000, Dr. Veltmann has provided information and education to more than 500 individuals, assisting them in developing personalized nutrition and lifestyle programs passed on their genomic profiles. For the past three years, Dr. Veltmann has implemented a personalized medicine program using functional genomic testing as the corner stone for the wellness program of the more than 4,000 Merchant Marines in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Joshua Sharlin PhD is IIM’s vice president and chief operations officer. Dr. Sharlin is a former FDA reviewer. For the last 15 years, he has assisted companies in FDA regulatory compliance and in preparing technical information for FDA approval of their product. Since 2003 he has trained over 40,000 people from hundreds of FDA-regulated companies on a wide variety of technical and regulatory topics. Dr. Sharlin designs research projects and analyzes IIM’s research data about the effectiveness of functional genomics and prepares information for publication. He prepares tutorials for health care professional about the application of functional genomics on health and wellness. He also analyzes and interprets new information in the scientific literature and serves as a liaison between IIM and the health care community.
